How to Apply for Housing:
Before you can apply for housing, you must first submit your enrollment deposit. You will then activate your Shepherd University email, which you’ll use to log into the Good Living Portal. This email also gives you access to campus resources like online class information and RamPulse student activities. Use the link below if you need help setting up your account.
1. Review the Residency RequirementBefore submitting your housing application, please review the residency requirement to understand the guidelines and available exceptions for living on campus at Shepherd University.

2. View our Housing & Meal Plan OptionsShepherd University offers 11 residence halls with traditional, suite, and apartment-style options and six meal plan options. Dunlop & Printz Apartments and West Woods Suites are not available to first-year students. Honors students may choose to live in Martin Hall. Click below for details on housing and meal plan rates.

3. Pay the Residence Life Housing DepositStudents will be required to submit a one-time housing deposit of $100. Once submitted, the student receives access to the Good Living Portal and can submit their housing application. All housing deposit payments must be made at the Shepherd University Business Office in Ikenberry Hall, Suite 214. Phone: 304-876-5284. |

4. Complete The 2026-27 Housing ApplicationThe Housing Application and Resident Agreement can be submitted through the Good Living Portal. The Good Living Portal is the central place for everything related to Residence Life. You can find forms and information about your housing, meal plans, assignments, and roommate profiles here.
