A World of Music—Spring Choral Concert
Friday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to traditional choral pieces on texts by great poets (William Blake, Sarah Teasdale, and William Shakespeare), the Shepherd University Chamber Singers and Camerata will perform works from Africa, Brazil, India, and the Philippines. Led by Dr. Steven Grives, the concert will also feature two student conductors, Benjamin Smith ’23 and Zoey Breakall ’23. Frank Arts Center Theater. Tickets.
Musical Showcase for Scholarships

Mid-Atlantic Trombone Alliance—Trombone Workshop
Sunday, April 2, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Concert performance at 5:00 p.m.
The annual Trombone Workshop returns to the Shepherd University Frank Arts Center bigger than ever! The 2023 Mid-Atlantic Trombone Alliance event will be expanded to include euphonium and tuba, and will feature professional artists, lessons, masterclasses, rehearsals, forums and more great activities. There will be a workshop for low brass players aged 13-17 to coincide with a low brass event for college musicians. The day will conclude with a 5:00 p.m. concert in the Frank Arts Center Theater that is free and open to the public. There is no cost to participate in the Trombone Workshop, but registration is required. Click here to register for the Trombone Workshop.

Native American Mary Youngblood, half Seminole and half Aleut, is the first woman to professionally record the Native American Flute, and the first woman to win not just one, but two Grammy Awards for Best Native American Music Album. United States Army Blues Jazz Ensemble

The U.S. Army Blues, part of the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” is the premier jazz ensemble of the US Army. After informal beginnings in 1970, this 18-piece ensemble became an official element of the Army Band in 1972. Frank Arts Center Theater. Free and open to the public.
