When to Move-In:

Please arrive during these designated times – you do not need to pre-select a specific move-in time block. Arriving at other times without prior approval from Res Life staff may result in a minimum $25 charge.

Move-In Instructions:
- Keep your Rambler (Student ID) in a place that is easy to access.
- Download the HID Mobile Access app to your phone. See Tips section below for more information.
- Bring your Rambler to the residence life staff member on duty and they will check you in for the spring semester.
- Move your belongings into your room and get settled in – welcome home!
- As a courtesy to other Rams, please relocate your car so that the closest spots are available for others who are unloading.
Tips for New Residents Before Arriving:
- Check your Shepherd email for messages from Residence Life.
- Still packing? Check out our What to Pack guide. Only Potomac Place has an elevator, so please pack thoughtfully in containers that are easier to move.
- Download the HID Mobile Access App to your phone.
- HID Mobile Access is used to access your building or Boteler Service Center access for WestWoods residents.
- A 16 digit activation code will be sent on January 8 to your Shepherd email from HIDOrigo. The code is only good for 24 hours.
- If you do not receive the HID code, please email esechler@shepherd.edu after you have downloaded the app.
- Ensure you have your Rambler ID card, as you will need it to check-in. If you don’t have a Rambler, visit the Wellness Center first (164 University Drive) to pick up or replace it before check-in.
