Building a Legacy
At Shepherd University, philanthropy fuels our mission to empower students, strengthen academic programs, and transform our campus community. The Office of Development and Annual Giving partners with the Shepherd University Foundation to connect alumni, friends, parents, and partners who believe in the life-changing power of education. Your support helps ensure that every Shepherd student has access to exceptional learning experiences, scholarships, and the tools to lead in a rapidly changing world.
Giving Priorities
The Shepherd Fund |
The Shepherd Fund provides vital financial support for virtually every aspect of the Shepherd University experience. Contributions provide sustaining support for academic, scholarship, cultural, and athletic programs; faculty and staff development; campus renewal and beautification; and other department programs and initiatives. |
Scholarships |
Open doors of opportunity for students through endowed and annual scholarships. Scholarships have become increasingly important for students as their expenses continue to rise. |
Inspiring Excellence: Invest in Women’s Athletics |
This initiative gives you a chance to invest in the future of women’s athletics at Shepherd University. This initiative provides funding to support scholarships and opportunities that empower female student-athletes to excel in competition, academics, and leadership. |
Tyson Bagent Stadium Initiative |
The Gridiron Club is seeking to cement former Rams Quarterback Tyson Bagent’s legacy at Shepherd by naming Ram Stadium in his honor. Donations will support repairs and updates to the stadium, including the men’s and women’s locker rooms and facilities. |
The Last Dollar Fund |
The Last Dollar Fund supports students who are in good academic standing but are struggling to start and complete their degree due to financial challenges. These students are capable of earning a degree and contributing significantly to the workforce and growth of our community. |
