Family Weekend
Shepherd University welcomes all Ram families to a day in Shepherdstown on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Below are a few events happening throughout the weekend.
FAMILY DAY | SATURDAY | SEPTEMBER 27
10 am – 12 pm | Stop by the Alumni Office Tables to pick up some free swag!
11 am to 1:00 pm | Parents! Stop by the Program Board tent on the Midway by the East Campus entrance to Ram Stadium
Noon | Football: Shepherd vs. Kutztown (Ram Stadium)
Shepherd students get in FREE to all athletic events with valid Rambler ID
Adult General Admission: $15 | K-12 General Admission: $5 | Children under 5: free

Self-Paced at Your Leisure| Tour Shepherdstown and Surrounding Area (self-guided)
- Shepherdstown is a wonderful place for families to explore. Not only is it West Virginia’s oldest town and has been ranked as one of the best small town communities in America with fascinating history, unique shops, and great restaurants. Here are some of our students’ favorite things to do:
- Take a walk on the C&O Canal National Park trail just across the bridge in Maryland (it is an easy walk or bike from campus)
- Explore Shepherdstown’s history and architecture with a walking tour. Pick up your free digital or map guide HERE
- Grab some homemade ice cream at Rock Hill Creamery on German Street or Amy and Alexs Ice Cream on Princess Street
- Visit the Historic Shepherdstown Museum (cool artifacts, history, and town vibes on German Street)
- Take a Shepherdstown Ghost Tour or join a Mystery Walk. (Admission fee of $15/person)
SUNDAY | SEPTEMBER 28
9 a.m.-1 p.m. | Shepherdstown Farmers Market (S. King St. behind the Old Shepherdstown Library)
Enjoy the local flavor! Locally grown produce, locally crafted products, and local musicians.
