The Office of Student Success provides students with support and resources that will empower them to realize their potential, as self-directed learners and professionals; to take ownership of their own success. Students face many challenges through this transitional period within higher education; our role is to assist and advocate for students who may face these experiences. Shepherd is committed to fostering a campus culture of engagement, which may look differently to each student. Many will engage through their academics, which could be forming study groups, attending their professor’s office hours, or participating in research studies; while others may be engaged through social opportunities, such as, joining a club or organization. Understanding these two pathways of success will guide staff to be better equipped with resources to assist students through these processes.
We are located in the Student Center, Suite 216 and are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We can be reached at 304-876-5453.
