- NSF S-STEM Scholarship is based on need and merit. New and returning students may apply. See NSF SSTEM and other scholarships.
- Shepherd Open: a math contest for high school students. The Open is organized annually with challenge questions selected by Shepherd University professors. There are cash awards for first-place, second-place, third-place, and honorable mention winners.
- Winners have been selected for the 2021 contest! The names will be announced soon.
- Participants in the 2021 contest used this PDF containing the (1) letter to parents and educators, (2) contest rules, and (3) contest questions.
- Shep Robo Fest: robotics contest hosted at Shepherd University every April. The even was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19,
- Shepherd’s Summer Start is an immersive program designed to ease the transition from high school to college. It gives students a chance to earn credit during the summer prior to their freshman year. Applications are now open for summer 2021. Priority deadline is May 1. The program is open to students headed to any college.
