Part-time: The number of hours students may work in a week is dependent on the FWS award they receive. Students work 6-15 hours /week on average.

Position overview: Vegetable Production Assistant

The Vegetable Production Assistant is expected to commit to minimum two-days a week at the farm. This is a work-study position; students will work with their supervisor to create a work schedule that best fits their class schedule. The Production Assistant is expected to assist in all necessary vegetable production tasks such as but not limited to: Field preparations, seeding, transplanting, harvesting, washing/packing, weeding. Applicants can expect to perform physical labor outdoors for multiple hours at a time, and work in a variety of weather conditions such as: cold, heat, rain, wind, high humidity, etc.

Position Overview: Greenhouse Assistant

The Tabler Farm Greenhouse Assistant is expected to assist with the seeding, growing, and transplanting of all plants grown in the Tabler Farm greenhouse. The primary season for this position is February-April and August-October. The greenhouse assistant will participate in other farm duties as needed outside of the greenhouse growing season. They will also help with the annual Tabler Farm plant sale at the end of the spring semester. This is a work-study position; students will work with their supervisor to create a work schedule that best fits their class schedule.

Position Overview: Aquaponics Assistant

The Tabler Farm Aquaponics Lab Assistant will work in our indoor Aquaponics Lab assisting in the production of vegetables. This includes seeding, growing, and harvesting of crop, plus system maintenance such as cleaning, repair work, and nutrients management.
Vegetable Production Crew Leader
Applications deadline: March 27, 2026
Position overview: Assist the Farm Coordinator in leading the vegetable production crew on the Tabler Student Farm, a 1-acre diversified fruit and vegetable production plot. Duties include seeding and transplanting, bed preparation and pest management, harvest and packing, vending at our farmer’s markets. Minimum one-full year vegetable production experience required.
Position Term: April 6th – October 30th, 2026
Part-time: 25-30 hours per week. Morning shifts are required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and are 7am-12pm. Afternoon shift required on Fridays and are 1pm-4pm. Weekend availability required for Farmers Markets on a rotating schedule.
Pay: $15 – $17 per hour depending on experience.
Additional benefits:
- Weekly produce stipend valued at $20 from Tabler Farm, plus gleaning of excess produce.

Summer Vegetable Production Internship
Applications open: March 16, 2026
Internship overview: The primary work expectation of this internship will be vegetable production on Tabler Student Farm 1-acre vegetable plot and includes seeding and transplanting, bed preparation, pest management, harvest and packing, and vending at our farmer’s markets.
Internship term: May 11th – August 23rd, 2026 (15 weeks)
Part-time: 20-25 hours per week. Morning shifts are required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and are 7am-12pm. Afternoon shift required on Fridays and are 1pm-4pm. Weekend availability required for Farmers Markets on a rotating schedule.
Pay: $13 per hour

Summer Sales Assistant
Applications open: April 10, 2026
Position overview: Summer Sales Assistants will work 4-5 hours on harvest/pack days primarily assistant the Vegetable Production crew with the washing and packing of produce, assisting with harvest as needed. They will also work one farmers market per week either on Saturday or Sunday on a rotational schedule. Average 12 hours per week at $12 per hour.
Position term: June 1st – August 23rd, 2026
Part-time: Average 12 hours per week. Harvest days are Mondays and Fridays, shifts run 12pm-4pm. Weekend availability required for Farmers Markets on a rotating schedule and is typically between the hours of 7am-2pm.
Pay: $12 per hour
