+ Prospecting
Want to find a grant the fits your project or program?
Step One: Review the Required Reading for SU PI/PDs.
Step Two: Set up weekly, customized automated searches using SPIN, a searchable grants database (FREE to Shepherd staff, faculty and students).
A. Sign up for a Grants Skill Session tutorial session on how to make the most of SPIN.
B. SPIN: Log-In Page (Your profile will need to be approved by OSP staff. This can take up to 72 hours. So, log-in for the first time BEFORE you plan on using it.)
C. SPIN: QUICK START GUIDE (This is a refresher from the tutorial session, or a self-guided tour for those who prefer to work alone.)
Step Three: Complete this simple “Funding Search Request Form” and OSP staff will send you an email with the subject heading “possible funding fit?” whenever a promising match is spotted during the course of broader prospecting efforts on behalf of the campus in general.
Step Four: When you find a grant you’d like to apply for: complete the quick and easy “Intent to Submit Form” as soon as practical!
