Employee Tuition Waiver Program
Full-time regular employees who have completed at least six months of service prior to the beginning of the semester for which the waiver is requested are eligible for tuition waivers of up to 6 credit hours. The tuition waiver benefit, for those who qualify, covers tuition and enrollment fees. Other special fees (e.g., online, lab, course, graduation, etc.) will not be covered by the employee tuition waiver benefit. To apply for this benefit, please follow the instructions below.
For Undergraduate Classes
Any eligible member of the faculty or staff who would like to register for undergraduate classes (up to 6 credits) should:
- Complete a Tuition Waiver Form.
- Provide all information requested, including confirmation of eligibility from Human Resources.
- Secure signature of immediate supervisor.
- Return form to Registrar’s Office promptly to ensure your course selection.
If you are not currently enrolled and will be a degree-seeking student, please complete an application for admission in the Admissions Office. If you will be a special non-degree student, pick up the application and registration form in the Registrar’s Office.

Spouse or Dependent Tuition Waiver Program
Full-time faculty and staff may apply for a Shepherd University tuition waiver for a spouse or eligible dependent. The employee must have completed at least six calendar months of work prior to the beginning of the semester for which the waiver is requested. The spouse or dependent tuition waiver benefit, for those who qualify, covers tuition and enrollment fees. Other special fees (e.g., online, lab, course, graduation, etc.) will not be covered by the spouse or dependent tuition waiver benefit. Applications for Spouse and Dependent tuition waivers are due to the Human Resources Office by July 1 for fall waivers and by December 1 for spring waivers. Policy | Application
