Tuition Waivers

Employee Tuition Waiver Program

Full-time regular employees who have completed at least six months of service prior to the beginning of the semester for which a tuition waiver is requested are eligible for tuition waivers of up to 6 credit hours.  The tuition waiver benefit, for those who qualify, covers tuition but not other fees.  To apply for this benefit, please follow the instructions below.

For Undergraduate Classes

Any eligible member of the faculty or staff who would like to register for undergraduate classes (up to 6 credits) should:

  1. Complete a Tuition Waiver Form.
  2. Provide all information requested, including confirmation of eligibility from Human Resources.
  3. Secure signature of immediate supervisor.
  4. Return form to Registrar’s Office promptly to ensure your course selection.

If you are not currently enrolled and will be a degree-seeking student, please complete an application for admission in the Admissions Office. If you will be a special non-degree student, pick up the application and registration form in the Registrar’s Office.

For Graduate Classes

Employees interested in a tuition waiver for graduate classes should complete the graduate tuition waiver form.

Dependent Tuition Waiver Program

Full-time faculty and staff may apply for a Shepherd University tuition waiver for an eligible dependent. Please read the policy to determine eligibility and benefits.  Applications for dependent tuition waivers are due to the Human Resources Office by July 1 for fall waivers and by December 1 for spring waivers.
