New Student Welcome and Convocation
New Student Welcome and Convocation is an important component in becoming Ram Ready! Knowing what resources are available to you and how to access them will be critical to your success. At Shepherd, your participation in New Student Welcome and Convocation is essential to learning about these resources that will assist ALL students new to Shepherd in making a smooth transition to the community.
New Student Welcome: During the day you are going to have an opportunity to meet your peers, meet your faculty advisors and professors who will help you to succeed, and listen to key staff present on vital information.
Convocation: A tradition at Shepherd University where all incoming students will attend a formal ceremony marking your official entrance into the University. Convocation signifies the beginning of a student’s educational journey and by which they become members of the Shepherd University community of scholars.
