SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Agricultural Innovation Center at Tabler Farm is hosting an open house Saturday, October 7, from 1-4 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will offer the opportunity to learn more about activities and programs that take place there and to purchase farm-grown produce.
Tours will be available at the aquaponics lab with Dr. Peter Vila, associate professor of environmental and physical sciences; the native food forest and food production plot with Madison Hale, farm coordinator; the apiary and solar system with Dr. Jeff Groff, professor of environmental science and physics; and the farm incubator project with Dr. Brooke Comer, assistant professor of environmental sciences.
