Interlibrary Loan Request
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service through which Shepherd University students, faculty, staff, and Scarborough Society members may request books, articles, and audio/visual materials not available in Scarborough Library.
Textbooks and required readings for classes cannot be requested through interlibrary loan.

How To Submit Requests
Request Books or DVD/CD
- Through WorldCat (Learn how to use WorldCat)
or
- By completing an online request form:
Please allow 7-14 days for items to arrive. Patrons are notified by email when items are available for pick up at the Public Services desk. Items will be held for 14 days or until the due date – whichever comes first.
Request Journal Articles
- Through a database search — click on the “Request this item through interlibrary loan” link
or
- Completing an online Article Request Form
Articles are usually delivered electronically to the patron’s email account. Delivery time depends on availability, but is generally within 1-7 days. Please check your email regularly (including your ‘junk’ mail).
If the article does not arrive within 7 days, please contact Patrick Weber, Coordinator of Interlibrary Loan .
