Under the leadership of Dr. Qing Wang, CME applied in Spring 2020 for an NSF S-Stem grant. Check back in Fall 2020 for outcomes! These NSF grants allow CME to award student scholarships on the basis of both merit and financial need, to new and continuing students, with a maximum scholarship of $10,000. The CME department previously won an NSF S-STEM grant covering June 2013 through May 2018.
Annually, the CME department and Shepherd University hosts Shep Robofest. For more information or to register for the Fest, go to our website located here!
In cooperation with the West Virginia Space Consortium, the CME department offers yearly fellowships for undergraduates to pursue independent research projects with the help of faculty and staff. Applications typically open early in the fall semester and the research culminates with a convention at the annual NASA day. Check out our website here for more details and watch our news feed on this page for when applications open!
