Commencement
Here is where you can find all information regarding accessibility for the Spring 2026 Commencement at Shepherd University.
Students: If you are a student with accessibility needs participating in commencement, please reach out to Accessibility Services.
Parking: Accessible parking is available in G lot (Wellness Center) and in J lot (Butcher Center). Please see the campus parking map below, both lots are marked with an orange star. A drop off area for those who need access to accessible entrances is available in both lots.
Accessible Entrance: There will be accessible entrances coming from both G Lot and J Lot. Accessible seating will be close to these entrances.
Accessible Seating: Seating will be available on the ground floor of the Butcher Center and the first two rows of the back bleachers for those with limited mobility or using wheelchairs. Each person in need of accessible seating can be accompanied by one guest in the seating area. Whole families cannot sit in the accessible seating area as this will take seats away from others that need it.
ASL Interpreters: An ASL interpreter will be present on the day of commencement.
