Will I get a new phone number?

No, you get to keep your existing number.

Do I need a physical handset?

No, Webex has a softphone application for your computer, cell phone, or tablet that does not require a handset.

Can I change my mind about getting a handset?

Yes, if you decide you want a physical handset we can provide one.

Will there be training?

Yes, IT Services will be providing training and on-demand resources can be found on this Webex YouTube channel.

Do I need a headset?

We recommend users have a headset with microphone for privacy if opting to use the softphone application.

When will VoIP be available for my building?

VoIP is being implemented in phases by building.
Phase 1 – Martinsburg Center & Ikenberry
Phase 2 – Library, CHE, & Facilities
Phase 3 – Gardiner, EOB, & Student Center
Phase 4 – Snyder, Byrd Science, & Stutzman Slonaker
Phase 5 – Knutti & White Hall
