Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to conduct a preliminary study on student sense of belonging at Shepherd University, their attitudes towards difference, academic mapping and student satisfaction in five functional areas of the Division of Student Affairs at Shepherd University. Areas of study include, Counseling Services, Health Services, Disability Support Services, the office of Student Affairs and the office of Student Engagement.

Design
Students will be given a multi-tier assessment instrument comprised of 102 questions. Subjects will be asked in 25 areas of sense of belonging at Shepherd University, 22 in reference to their attitudes towards difference, and 11 on student satisfaction in five functional areas of the Division of Student Affairs at Shepherd University. The assessment instrument will be administered through Baseline. Raw data collection methods through the Baseline software will be used. An electronic copy can be found at the following link.
Moving Forward
The results will be used to guide staff practices of engagement that support developmental growth to foster student success.
