Transgender Day of Remembrance November 20, 2020, at 3:00 P.M.  Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) where we will raise public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people and remember those we have lost. A virtual conversation with Rosemary Ketchum, the first openly trans elected official in West Virginia, as she shares her experiences as a transgender woman and how to be an ally to the transgender community. Campus Conversations: Transforming Masculinity  November 5, 2020, at 5:00 P.M. What does the phrase “Be a man” mean to you? The effect masculinity has on society, and vice versa has been a hot topic for a while. What does healthy masculinity look like, and how can everyone benefit from healthy masculinity on a college campus? Join students and staff as they share stories and explore how masculinity has shaped their experiences and what being a man means to them.  Rampulse Events
Rams Rally for Respect October 22, 2020, at 5:00 P.M.  Join us one week from today for our annual Rams Rally for Respect! This year, we will be hosting our event virtually and focusing our discussions around racial justice and intersectionality. Safe-Zone Training: Faculty and Staff October 20, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. Safe Zone introduces basic LGBTQ terms and concepts, helps participants develop an appreciation for the experiences of the LGBTQ people, and brings an overall awareness of LGBTQ issues. Participants will be encouraged to think about how they can create a more inclusive environment and will be prepared to provide resources to LGBTQ people. Rampulse Events
Indigenous People’s Day Panel October 12, 2020, at 1:00 P.M.  Sponsored by the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, tune in live to the panel “Youth in Action: Conversations About Our Future (Mascots, Monuments, and Memorialization)”. Hear from youth representing 6 Native American tribes as well as a musical performance by Frank Waln (Sicangu Lakota). This event is free to everyone, so come and learn about Indigenous culture!  Rampulse Events
Paint with Pride October 11, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. Join us for the Weekend of Pride’s final event—Paint with Pride! This event is intended to celebrate National Coming Out Day! There will be availability to the first 23 students to participate with us in person, and there will also be an accompanying painting tutorial so that you may participate asynchronously! For the in-person events, all social distancing guidelines will be followed, which includes wearing a mask over your nose and mouth at all times. Rampulse Events
Netflix Watch Party: A Secret Love October 10, 2020, at 6:00 P.M. Join Multicultural Student Affairs as we celebrate National Coming Out Day with a Netflix Watch Party! We will be streaming “A Secret Love” on Netflix, a 2020 documentary about a former baseball player who keeps her lesbian relationship a secret from her family for seventy years. Rampulse Events
