We offer a variety of teaching fields for you to pursue from music and art to math and science. No matter the specialization, you will graduate ready to confidently lead a classroom of your own. Our rigorous program ensures that students can teach, and reinforces their practices through numerous teaching projects and field-based practicum / clinical experience opportunities.   

Accreditation

In the spring of 2018, Shepherd University’s Teacher Education Program passed the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accreditation review and received renewed full accreditation. Shepherd University is proud of this notable achievement.
