Give to the Shepherd University Department of Psychology
Your gift to the Department of Psychology will be used to support our ongoing programs and our students. You may specify one of the following.
Psychology General Fund
The Department of Psychology strives to achieve excellence in teaching and advising students, research, and service to our University and the community. Contributions to the General Fund will support general operations of the Department, such as purchasing refreshments for student events (e.g., capstone research presentations), purchasing needed supplies and equipment, professional development for faculty, and more.
These funds are used to support the activities of the Shepherd University Psychology Club. Membership is open to any Shepherd student with an interest in psychology. Students in Psychology Club promote interest in psychology through activities including bringing in speakers and participating in campus-wide community service events. The club also helps students achieve their academic and career goals by holding sessions on topics such as how to get into graduate school and how to get a job in psychology, as well as by helping students build a network of students, faculty members, and community members who can help them navigate the challenges they face.
Shepherd University Psi Chi
These funds support our chapter of the international honor society in psychology, Psi Chi. Membership is open to Shepherd Psychology Majors and Minors with at least a 3.25 GPA overall and in all Psychology classes. Your gift will support our annual induction ceremony as well as other chapter activities.
