Scholarships

The following scholarships are available to students majoring in political science or global studies; no application is required. Please contact Dr. Stephanie Slocum-Schaffer for more information.

Harry V. Klug Scholarship ($100.00) — Political Science Major

G.D. Bragaw Scholarship ($175.00) — Political Science Major

James S. Hafer Scholarship ($750.00) — Political Science Major, 3.0 GPA, Sophomore or Junior

Louise Leonard Scholarship ($750.00) — Political Science or Global Studies Major, WV resident

Bonnie and Bill Stubblefield Scholarship in Political Communications ($1,000 / year, renewable up to 4 years)Presented to a deserving undergraduate student majoring in Shepherd University’s new Political Communications Concentration.

The Friends of the Stubblefield Institute Scholarship ($1,000 / year, renewable up to 4 years)Presented to a deserving undergraduate student majoring in Shepherd University’s new Political Communications Concentration.

GOPAC Education Fund Scholarship Award for Outstanding Leadership ($2,500 / year, renewable up to 4 years) Funded through a generous gift by the GOPAC Education Fund to enhance students’ understanding of advancing the free enterprise system, offering nonprofit solutions to social issues, fostering innovation and social entrepreneurship, and analyzing how government policies impact both the free market and the nonprofit sector. Presented to a deserving undergraduate student majoring in Political Science at Shepherd University.
