Pi Sigma Alpha is a national honor society that recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the field of political science. Membership into Pi Sigma Alpha is by invitation only and is available to undergraduate political science majors who meet the following criteria:
- Completed at least one-half of the credits required by their institution for the baccalaureate degree.
- Completed at least ten semester-credits of work in political science, including at least one upper-division course, with an average grade of B or higher in those courses.
- Achieved an overall GPA placing them in the top one-third of their whole class (e.g., junior or senior class).
