Metro Scholarship
The Shepherd University Metro Scholarship available for first-time freshmen who are residents of select Pennsylvania counties, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. This $5,500 per year scholarship is awarded automatically when all requirements below are fulfilled.
To be Eligible, you Must Be:
- A first-time in college (freshman) student with a legal, permanent residence from:
- Maryland
- Pennsylvania: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Lancaster, and York counties
- Virginia
- Washington, D.C.
- Taking at least 12 credit hours per semester
- Living on campus
- Not eligible for the Academic Common Market
Academic Scholarships
All first-time freshmen are eligible to receive an academic scholarship from Shepherd University, granted they are not receiving Academic Common Market. The minimum scholarship requirements are a 3.0 cumulative high school G.P.A., an 1,100 SAT Composite and/or a 22 ACT composite. Students must meet both the GPA requirement and one of the standardized test requirements to receive the corresponding award. These scholarships are renewable for three additional years with a 2.75 cumulative Shepherd G.P.A.
