Tabler Farm to host a series of spring events

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WVShepherd University’s Agricultural Innovation Center at Tabler Farm is hosting a series of events for the community this spring. These events are free and open to the public. 

Community Days Series: Wild Spring Foraging with Clay Morris
The Community Days series at Tabler Farm provides students and the community with opportunities to learn about small-scale sustainable agriculture through hands-on experience. Join ecologist Clay Morris on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and take a wild spring foraging walk around Tabler Farm, 482 Billmyer Mill Rd., Shepherdstown, WV 25443. 

Sixth Annual Plant Sale
The Tabler Farm nursery is hosting its sixth annual plant sale on Sunday, May 5, from 12-4 p.m. at the Byrd Science Center greenhouses, 205 N. Princess St., Shepherdstown, WV 25443. Chat with plant experts, receive plant growing guides, and shop from a selection of vegetable plants, annual and perennial herbs, and flowers. Prices will range from $3 to $6 and only cash or check will be accepted. 

Community Days Series: Garden Journaling and Crop Management for Beginners
Bring a journal and learn how to organize and manage your garden on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Tabler Farm, 482 Billmyer Mill Rd., Shepherdstown, WV 25443.
