SHEPHERDSTOWN, WVShepherd University’s Agricultural Innovation Center at Tabler Farm is partnering with WVU Medicine’s Farm to You program for the second consecutive year.

The Farm to You program provides clinic patients with free, fresh, local produce and accompanying healthy recipes. This year, the Farm to You program has a food truck that will provide recipe demonstrations during produce pick-up hours.

Tabler Farm is one of four farms in the Eastern Panhandle providing produce to WVU Medicine clinics and will serve the OBGYN clinic at the WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Madison Hale, farm coordinator, is excited to see the results of this partnership.

“This partnership enables Tabler Farm to provide produce to people who otherwise may not have access to it, strengthens the business component of our program to demonstrate a viable selling outlet, and gives us a revenue stream to support our production costs,” said Hale.
