Lee’s interest in traditional stories began while he was working as a cook in a tiny fishing village in Scotland. He has told stories professionally for 30 years. He is a roster artist with Arts for Learning, Connecticut and a frequent guest artist at the Metropolitan Opera Education Conference, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Yale Center for British Art. Lee was a featured teller at the 2014 National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee, and returned in 2015 as Teller-in-Residence. Lee lives in Chester, Connecticut, where he cooks without fear and gardens over ambitiously.
