Scarborough Society Art and Lecture Series features faculty artist Evan Boggess in virtual presentation

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Scarborough Society of Shepherd University will close out its annual Scarborough Art and Lecture Series with a virtual presentation by Evan Boggess, director of Shepherd University’s Phaze II Gallery, on Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Boggess will discuss the unique and complex methods used in creating process-oriented art and provide a glimpse into his own elaborate painting process. Instructions will be emailed upon registration at the event registration page. All Scarborough Art and Lecture Series programming is free and open to the public.

Boggess is a native West Virginia artist who currently maintains a home studio in the Eastern Panhandle. His work is widely shown, with recent exhibitions in Taos, New Mexico; Miami; Baltimore; Chicago; Arlington, Virginia; Asheville, North Carolina; Cincinnati; Raleigh, North Carolina; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and numerous spaces throughout West Virginia. In addition to his role with the Phaze 2 Gallery, Boggess is also a full-time lecturer in studio art at Shepherd.

The Scarborough Society is a friends of the library organization sponsored by the Shepherd University Foundation. Annual membership dues help support library acquisitions, technology, and programs.
