SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Scarborough Library is hosting its final event to celebrate its new children’s and young adult collection by giving away books removed from circulation on Friday, August 16, from 1-3 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and will feature a display of an observation honeybee hive owned by Dr. Jeff Groff, chair, Department of Environmental and Physical Sciences. Books removed from circulation will be available to take home. Remaining books will be donated to The Book Thing in Baltimore, a non-profit organization making free books available to those who need them.
