Salon Series to present March 26 improvisational concert

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University School of Music Salon Series, sponsored by Jefferson Security Bank, continues on Tuesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Frank Arts Center W.H. Shipley Recital Hall, 260 University Dr., Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature Robin Rhodes, adjunct music professor, in a collaborative performance with video artist Rohan Pathare.

Rhodes will present a long-form bass and piano improvisation paired with improvised video art by close friend and frequent collaborator Pathare. They have presented similar performances in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and the School of Music is excited to bring their exceptional and innovative work to Shepherdstown.

Rhodes is a bassist, improviser, and educator committed to dynamic projects that use the arts to bring people together. He is active in the Baltimore area and performs and teaches improvisation, contemporary classical, and jazz.
