SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Office of Student Engagement is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, January 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the War Memorial Building, 102 E. German St., to raise money for the Alternative Spring Break program. The event is open to the public and donations will be collected.

Alternative Spring Break will offer up to 25 students the opportunity to spend spring break performing community service. Last year students traveled to North Carolina and New Jersey to work with Habitat for Humanity affiliates in those communities. Students raise all the money needed to make the trips possible.

Shepherd offered its first Alternative Spring Break in 2002, and since then more than 285 students have participated in the program.
