SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Annual Holiday gala concert, “Home for the Holidays,” will take place Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater, with a family matinee on Sunday, December 9, at 3 p.m.
A warm and inspiring holiday musical tradition featuring Shepherd University’s Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Piano Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Camerata Soprano/Alto Choir, Aries Tenor/Bass Choir, and Concert Choir, this program includes holiday music with traditional favorites and contemporary arrangements, as well as a merry holiday sing-along. The Sunday family matinee will feature an appearance by Santa and an instrument “petting zoo” for all ages. Department of Music students will have a drop-off site for new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations for the Marine Toys for Tots program.
