MARTINSBURG, WV — Students who are home schooled or attend private or public high schools and their parents can learn more about taking college classes while still in high school during a December 17 open house at the Shepherd University Martinsburg Center, 261 Aikens Center. Representatives from Shepherd admissions and academic community outreach will be on hand to explain how the dual enrollment program works and how it provides both college and high school credit simultaneously at a discount.

Shepherd faculty teach dual enrollment courses at the Martinsburg Center or at the main campus in Shepherdstown. College credits count toward a degree at Shepherd or will transfer to any accredited university. Refreshments will be served starting at 5 p.m. and an information session about dual enrollment will begin at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP necessary, but seating is limited.
