SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University L&L Committee has rescheduled its next Lectures & Libations for Sunday, March 24, at 5 p.m., at the Town Run Tap House and Community Pub, 202 E. Washington St. The event, which had to be postponed due to weather, is free and open to the public.

Laurie Cohen, adjunct professor of economics and finance, will discuss “Chicago: Futures Markets and Hot Dogs” and Dr. Chiquita Howard-Bostic, chair of the Department of Sociology and Geography, will talk about “Grow What You are Given: The Personal is Political.” Each speaker will give a 20-minute talk on one big idea, followed by a question-and-answer session to engage audience members in the conversation.

This Lectures & Libations will feature a special menu of Chicago-style hot dogs, which will be available for purchase during an intermission between speakers. The Tap House kitchen closes at 4:30 p.m., so those wanting to order other food will need to arrive early.

A third Lectures & Libations will take place on April 14. The L&L Committee will announce more details as the date approaches.
