Lecture by Dr. James Broomall to air on C-SPAN 3 February 2

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — A lecture by Dr. James Broomall, assistant professor of history and director of the George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War at Shepherd University, will air on American History TV’s Lectures in History on C-SPAN 3 on Saturday, February 2, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, February 3, at midnight. He will discuss the artist James Hope and the 1862 Battle of Antietam.

American History TV gives viewers the opportunity to join students in the classroom to hear lectures on campuses across the country on topics ranging from the American Revolution to 9/11.

Once the show with Broomall’s lecture debuts, it will be posted in its entirety at https://www.c-span.org/video/?453587-2/artist-james-hope-1862-battle-antietam. Podcasts of the lecture will be available for download from the C-SPAN 3 website, iTunes, and other podcast distribution sites beginning Monday, February 4.
