SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University Ram fans will have a chance to get a preview of the Homecoming football game from Coach Monte Cater during a special happy hour scheduled for Friday, October 21, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the new multi-use pavilion overlooking Ram Stadium.
“Homecoming is always an exciting time of the year,” said Chauncey Winbush, vice president for athletics. “This new event will give the university, alumni, and supporters of Shepherd athletics yet another opportunity to support our sports programs. The multi-purpose pavilion could not have turned out to be a better venue. Ram Stadium will be the perfect backdrop for this event, as we anticipate another exciting Homecoming Saturday in Shepherdstown. I am hopeful this will start a new and exciting tradition surrounding Homecoming weekend at Shepherd University.”
This newly-created event is part of Shepherd’s weeklong Homecoming celebration that will include a game Saturday, October 22, between Shepherd and Concord University. The happy hour is open to the public at a cost of $25 per person payable at the door by cash or check and will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and other beverages. RSVPs are required by Wednesday, October 19. To view an invitation and RSVP, visit https://www.greenvelope.com/event/HomecomingHappyHour2016.
