SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University is promoting five faculty members and granting tenure to three effective the 2020-2021 academic year.
Those being promoted to associate professor are Dr. Mohammadreza Ghahremani, computer and information sciences; Dr. Elizabeth Rini, nursing; and Dr. Kelly Watson Huffer, nursing. Dr. Jeffrey Groff, physics, and Dr. Jason McKahan, communications, are both being promoted to professor.
Faculty members granted tenure are Dr. Doris Burkey and Dr. Elizabeth Rini, nursing, and Dr. Jennifer Penland, education.
“Congratulations are due to all these individuals for the contributions they’ve made and that they continue to make to the university, the communities they serve, and to their profession,” said Dr. Scott Beard, provost.
