SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Six Shepherd University English students and a recent graduate attended the Sigma Tau Delta International Convention March 27-30 in St. Louis. The six students, Alexandra McCarron, Lilli Sutton, Sarah Markle, Claudia McCarron, Gabrielle Hersey, and Katharine Hardy, presented individual papers during the convention, which also provided networking and professional development opportunities. The Shepherd University Foundation’s President’s Club provided support for the students to attend the convention.
“We are thrilled that the President’s Club helped our students showcase the terrific work they are doing and let them see the connections between that work and the world beyond the classroom,” said Dr. Heidi M. Hanrahan, professor of English and Sigma Tau Delta English honor society faculty advisor.
