SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Dr. Jennifer Penland, director of Shepherd University’s School of Education, served on a panel titled “Reimagining Teacher Preparation” during the fourth annual Legislators’ Forum on Education and the Economy November 20 in Charleston.
Penland was one of four panelists who talked about effective teacher preparation and how teacher preparation programs can incorporate micro-credentialing structures and other innovative practices to help both new and existing teachers utilize student data to personalize learning. The forum was sponsored by the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative and The Hunt Institute.
