SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Eight Shepherd art students will be drawing a live performance by the band Bluenevada at the Town Run Tap House and Community Pub, 202 E. Washington St., on Saturday, February 16, at 9:30 p.m. The public is invited to watch the students sketch with a range of drawing media on large format paper throughout the evening.
Evan Boggess, adjunct art professor, said this event will serve as a public showcase for the skills learned in Shepherd’s art program. He said drawing live musicians is a long-standing practice in the art community and provides a unique challenge to capture the likeness of someone in motion while also trying to communicate the nature of the music.
