SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Accounting Club volunteered on Sunday, November 10, to assist local nonprofit organization Horses with Hearts with getting ready for winter by moving items into storage buildings. Horses with Hearts is a therapeutic riding center that helps individuals with disabilities. The organization typically operates from April to late October. Members of the Accounting Club spent two hours storing supplies and equipment for the center’s seasonal closing. Before its spring opening, the club will help with moving items from storage and setting up the venue for operation. According to Dr. Cindy Vance, club faculty advisor, the Accounting Club was thankful to be given the opportunity to volunteer, and members are eager to help Horses with Hearts with future activities.
