Shepherd Community Recorder Ensemble
Bring your nice wooden heirlooms or dust off your plastic Yamaha and join the Shepherd Community Recorder Ensemble! All ages and levels are welcome, so long as you can read music and know your basic recorder fingerings. We will learn a wide variety of music and prepare for a concert at the end of each semester. The first week of each semester will be sight-reading. The recorder ensemble is under the direction of Andrea Diggs, Professor for Flute at Shepherd University School of Music.
Spring 2026 Semester – Mondays, January 12-April 22, 2026 from 6:00-7:20 p.m. with a concert on April 28, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. in the Frank Arts Center Theater. Placement auditions will take place during the first rehearsal on January 12.
How to Prepare:
Bring your instrument and be prepared to sight-read.
The cost to participate is $160 per semester. A payment link will be sent after the placement audition is complete.
