RAM Band Application

The Ram Band is one of the highlights of Shepherd University. Known for its strong commitment to musical excellence and its exciting shows, the Ram Band is in great demand throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The Ram Band is not limited to music majors and is open to all Shepherd University students.

Join the Ram Band as they celebrate fifty seasons of marching band at Shepherd University. The Ram Band 50th Anniversary Show features Shepherd University fight songs “SU Fight,” “Can’t Turn You Loose,” and “Fight On,” and music from some of the Ram Band’s most popular half-time shows, including Swingin’ Shepherd Blues, Earth, Wind and Fire’s “In The Stone/September,” “Help!” by the Beatles, Mambo from West Side Story, Santana’s “Smooth,” “Seasons of Love” from Rent, Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder.

Under Shepherd University Director of Bands Dr. Scott Hippensteel, the RAM Band staff includes: music arranger Frank Mahoney, percussion arranger and instructor Daniel Morris, visual and marching instructor John Karos, color guard instructor Anna Lynch, and drill writer Dan Kalantarian.
