Internships

The HPPH concentration requires a 400-hour internship, typically completed during the summer between junior and senior year. Students work together with their advisor to select an appropriate internship provider and a research project.

Past internship providers include the Jefferson County Historic Landmarks Commission, the Robert C. Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education, the C&O Canal National Historical Park, and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, among many others.
