Dr. Colleen Nolan, dean of the School of Natural Science and Mathematics; Chris Sedlock, vice president for University Advancement; and President Mary J.C. Hendrix traveled to the National Institute of Health – National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, to meet with Shepherd alumnus Dr. James Cherry ’96, assistant project officer, to discuss additional summer internships in cancer research for Shepherd students. While at the institute, they met Shepherd alumna Amanda Corbel ’15, a Post-baccalaureate Research Fellow at NCI, who told them about her residency experience and her continued interaction with Shepherd students.
