English Travel/Study Opportunities
The English program has two courses that lend themselves especially well to travel. ENGL 446, American Literature and the Prominence of Place, features works with a predominant focus on setting. This class oftentimes accompanies tours of important American literary sites. Previous trips have included Salem, Concord, and western Massachusetts, as well as San Francisco and Monterey, California.
ENGL 430, British Literature and the Prominence of Place, features works with a predominant focus on setting outside of the United States. This class oftentimes accompanies tours of literary sites in the United Kingdom and Europe. Previous trips have included England, Ireland, and France.
Modern Language Travel/Study Opportunities
The Modern Languages program at Shepherd University offers multiple travel opportunities. Destinations in the recent past have included summer programs in Costa Rica; Peru; Quebec, Canada; and Spain.
