These courses are available for registration during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. You must complete and turn in all assignments during the semester in which you register two weeks prior to the date the grades are due. For a list of classes, please visit their website at http://www.virtualeduc.com/shepherd.

Calmer Schools (CS)  online professional development courses are offered through a third-party educational portal. Online courses are self-paced and can be completed within set start and end times agreed upon by Calmer Schools and the Partner University, Shepherd. Each course includes articles on the topic, assessment tools and more – all at a self-directed pace – allowing educators to complete at least 45 hours of course content eligible for 3-credits.

Courses

Shepherd University established EDPD (Professional Development in Education) in 2006.  In order to re-certify teachers, some 500 educators and others, avail themselves annually of these graduate-level courses.  The primary service areas are West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, but with most courses taught online, our areas have now extended to the west coast.
