Sexual Assault Victim Advocates (SAVA)
Sexual Assault Victim Advocates (SAVA)
A Confidential Resource for Victims of Interpersonal Violence
The mission of the SAVA team is to ensure that victims of interpersonal violence (IPV) including sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking and sexual exploitation receive the support and resources they wish to utilize to begin their physical and emotional recovery process and to continue on their pathway to academic success.
The information you share with a SAVA, Shepherd University Counselors or Shepherd University Health Center Staff is confidential and is not considered official notification to the university that an incident of IPV has occurred and will therefore not trigger a university investigation.
How Can An Advocate Help Me?

• Medical Concerns
• Safety Issues
• Temporary Academic Accommodations
• Reporting Options
• Connecting victims with on and off campus resources.
