Shepherd hosts middle schoolers for Social Science Day

A group of middle school-age students visited Shepherd in April. Shepherd faculty and administrators joining them for a group photo include Dr. Chiquita Howard-Bostic (front row, yellow blouse), President Mary J.C. Hendrix, Provost Chris Ames, Assistant Provost Virginia Hicks, and Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Segar.

Social Science Day was held April 5 for middle school-age students from South Middle School in Berkeley County, Shepherdstown Middle School, and the Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle. The event gave the visiting students the opportunity to explore the social sciences at Shepherd, meet Shepherd students, professors, academic counselors, and program coordinators, visit the Student Center, and experience what happens inside the classroom walls.
