Chamber Singers is a mixed ensemble of around 25 singers at Shepherd University, under the direction of Dr. Steve Grives
Members consist of voice majors, music majors, and students from other disciplines at Shepherd University.
We are always looking for new members! Auditions take place at the end of the spring semester, around early to mid-April and occasionally during the first week of classes. Email Dr.Grives if you are interested in auditioning.
Chamber Singers performs varied repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary music. Recent works include Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, Debussy’s Trois chansons de Charles d’Orleans, Bruckner’s Locus iste, and Tallis’ If ye love me.
The ensemble rehearses Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:10 – 12:00 pm.
