Phaze 2 Gallery will exhibit Lockhart paintings through December 11

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Department of Contemporary Art and Theater and the Phaze 2 Gallery will exhibit the paintings of Philadelphia artist Read Lockhart from November 12-December 11, with an opening reception attended by Lockhart on Thursday November 12, from 4-7 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Lockhart, whose grandfather was the late American wildlife painter James Lockhart, did a series of apprenticeships in Florence, Italy, and New York to study drawing and painting. He has a masters degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
